Abraham Hostels & Tours are a group of fun, friendly hostels that cater to independent travelers looking to explore Israel and experience our beautiful country, and the Middle East to the fullest. Our Five hostels are located in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Nazareth Eilat, and Sinai, and we operate tours all around Israel, the West Bank, Egypt, and Jordan! To us, a hostel is more than just a place, it’s all about the people.

what the role is
The Accountant is responsible for internal financial controls, the accuracy, and readiness of financial data reported to management, the board, and authorities. They are responsible for the accuracy of the accounting registration and accounting management work, all while providing friendly service to all stakeholders.
Full-time position, with additional hours as needed. The position is located in Jerusalem (part of the job will require travel between different units in Tel Aviv, Eilat, Nazareth). International travel - occasional travel may be required based on the needs

What you will be doing
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Supervision and control of global accounting registration and accounting work.
  •  Management of the company's cash flows. 
  • Full responsibility for the preparation of consolidated financial reports, quarterly and annual. 
  • Full responsibility for the accounting reporting of the group and subsidiary companies.
  • Management of the interface with the auditor and various authorities.
  • Preparation of working papers and control reports on various subjects.
  • Assistance in implementing systems projects within the organization.
  • Team management.
  • What you should have
  • Certified Accountant with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Economics.
  • 3 years of experience as an assistant accountant or after a first role as an accountant in commercial companies.
  • Ability to work in a technological environment - mandatory.
  • Systemic vision and ability to work with multiple interfaces, including senior management and the board of directors.
  • Ability to work independently under time pressure and handle large workloads.
  • Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
  • High-level English.
  • Full command of Office applications, including presentation editing.
  • Experience in public global companies - a significant advantage.
  • Experience in implementing an ERP system - an advantage.
